Just back home after spending 13 hours in a&e and then the children’s ward with my 13 month old. She was sent home and told to take calpol although she had a temp of 39 & her breathing was erratic. Not even antibiotics to treat an infection she might have. The staff were lovely and attentive but my goodness, this hospital is ridiculously badly managed and terribly understaffed. 13 hours with a baby just isn’t good enough.

Came through a&e to the gynae unit. Sent home even though I told the doctor I couldn’t handle the pain at home. Was told by 2 doctors and a nurse practitioner to ring them directly if my condition got worse. Rang them and they told me to go back through a&e even though I hadn’t been actually discharged from the gynae unit. The second time I rang regarding an infection, they never rang back when they said they would. Don’t go here for gynae related issues, waste of time

Would just like to thank how quickly and professional the paediatric doctors are. Literally stuck to their word no messing around fantastic communication and explanation which really puts you at ease as a parent. They are fantastic with my child which makes it much easier to attend appointments.

I would very highly recommend Dr Roseblade and his team! I have received the best care and aftercare I could possibly ask for. After so much fighting and upset the team took me on and have changed my life completely! Constantly checking in to see how im getting on simply can't thank them enough for all that they have done. I am a different person because of them and would highly recommend for anyone who suffers with endometriosis everything is explained in high amounts of detail , dignity and compassion! I will be thank ful for each and everyone on the team who were involved in the operation for the rest of my life! I wish all gynaecologists followed this practice simply fantastic! The gynaecology nurses are amazing and always are! Very hardworking never stop and the healthcare assistants put a smile on everyone's face every day and night. I simply cannot wait for the days i will get back with my family that i have missed suffering. I just cannot stop smiling!

Awful experience. Was shipped around from ward to ward. Barely any communication from any doctors or staff. Nobody came to check on how I was feeling or if medication was providing any relief. Diagnosis changed without any communication to me (only found out because I asked). Never received a wristband from entering a and e and was moved around and given medication on various wards despite this.

Just had a complete hysterectomy done by Mr Kumar . Had it done Monday morning came home Tuesday afternoons . Can’t praise all the staff enough. The care I received was amazing nothing to much trouble. Mr Kumar was very approachable and a lovely caring man , he explained everything to me and I felt totally safe is his hands. Where would we be without these wonderful people. They put their own lives at risk.with Covid 19 to help us. NEVER UNDER APPRECIATE THESE PEOPLE THEY ARE ALL SAINTS AND NOT PAID ENOUGH FOR WHAT THEY DO FOR US.

Thank you so much for the care you showed me today. All staff were so friendly despite part of my visit being in the middle of the night. I entered A&E and the doctor was brilliant, took time to ask questions and run tests for the issue and the nurses were fantastic. The surgeon who came to see me listened to my symptoms and admitted me to SAU and the nurses there were also lovely. I felt safe, remembered and cared for, not only that while there I observed the staff dealing with other patients in the same way, despite some patients being particularly rude they maintained cheerful and happy responses. I hear a lot of negative things about hospitals but I can honestly say I was really well cared for by staff from the porter, nurses and doctors thank you

I was transported to the A/E resus department via Welsh Ambulance Service. The care I received from Nurse Kirsty and Nurse Hildy was outstanding, they kept me informed every step of the way and even went as reassuring and supporting my partner over the telephone. I was then transferred to Bonney Ward (Covid19). I have to get a huge shout out to male nurse Sean and an agency nurse Violet whose pleasant disposition put my mind at ease on admission to the unit. I could travel the world and I would still fall short in offerring my appreciation, gratitude and thanks. The ward sisters, Consultantant Stephen Kelly and other nursing and health care staff whose names elude me right now, I just want to say thank you so much. The care and service I received and impecible. A job well done all round. Forever in your debt. Sanjay Khallie

What a joke of a hospital! I was seen 10 days ago needing a steroid injection in my shoulder, I phoned ahead to A&E To ask if this was possible, and was told to come up and the orthopaedic minor injuries unit could do it. So My husband drove me to one of the worst hit health authorities for covid to see about getting a steroid injection, I wait for hours to be told i couldn't have one because the directive from the government says they couldn't give me one as it would lower my immune system and put me more at risk of covid! But take these oral steroids but I would have to come back to collect them the next day! and then to come back in 10 days and I should be able to have the injection then! I go back to a badly infected area after 10 days of oral steroids reducing my immune system to be told once again the directive says they cant give it....thats not what the directive says at all! If a risk assessment is done, the patient is fully aware of the risks and consents then if its in the patients best interest they can have the injection! But no! How do I feel about of having some physio sessions instead! So let me get this right...i am less at risk of covid by 3 visits and oral steroids and however many physio sessions than I would have been having the injection in the first place? At this point I need to say I am a retired nurse, and the above doesn't make any sense to me! So thanks to this hospital I have made 3 visits to a badly infected area and put myself at risk! I would juts like to say a really big thank you for nothing!
